Friend of mine mentioned his archer build - apparently you can become nigh-impossible to hit when you reach Paragon.

I'm just looking forward to hitting fifth level. There's a daily power for archer rangers that's just nasty.

The ranger in our campaign is a 'Beastmaster' build, with a wolf companion. It's handy to have the extra body, with a two PC party, even though the companions are more limited in 4E than in past editions.
