I have a really hard time believing that the name-change survey is genuinely representative. And the business in the comments about children being "confused" if they don't have the same name as both of their parents -- doesn't this guy know any blended families at all?? That phenomenon, if nothing else, should mean that many more people are used to multiple-name families than was the case when I was growing up.
