Y'know how sometimes when you ask a question, you get a response that doesn't actually answer the question, but the person responding thinks it has? And then confusion ensues?
Yeah. That.
I was invited to speak at an ALA meeting in a few weeks. Unfortunately, the invitation conflicted with another meeting my boss, grandboss, and I were supposed to go to together. So I emailed my boss and grandboss to inform them of the invitation and see how they wanted me to handle it.
In spite of the fact that they've both responded to the email, neither of them has actually answered my question about whether I should accept the invitation to speak or not. My boss responded by telling me what his plans for the time block in question were, but I don't know if that constitutes permission to skip the meeting he's going to or not.
*sigh*
Also, my stupid a/c is broken AGAIN. And the HVAC people aren't returning my calls about scheduling a service appointment.
