These are quotes from an opinion letter from my hometown paper in response to a letter that my mate wrote. Keep in mind he is on his second tour, has a severe spinal problem and is currently living in a tent and going out on missions. The sad fact is a lot of NCO's don't really "earn" the position by having superior combat experiance. The are promoted for going to a lot of schools and doing bookwork, which can only get you so far. And most insurgents can hit more than 10 times because they are on their own turf and know all the good hiding places. Unless it's a sniper who is going for a one shot kill, then yes, there is a good chance he's gonna get more than 10 rounds fired off before he is found...if he is found.

But the difference is, I know you have enough sense not to do a lot of the stupid bullshit most of them do, because you have something else they don't. Common Sense!
