So….my mother is worried about me wearing the diamond ring I am having made on my right hand…

What do you think? Will people think I’m engaged if I wear a diamond (non-engagementy) ring on my right hand ring ringer or should I choose my middle finger?

I have seen women in different cultures wear their enegagment ring on their right hand.

Frankly, if you are worried about guys thinking your are engaged and running away - I highly doubt that will happen. They just see hot girl - unless you put the ring in their face they aren't going to notice.

I think its funny she's worried about it.

I think the middle finger may be clearer its not an engagement ring though. But I can tell you, most men don't even notice I am wearing an engagement ring or a wedding ring anyway, I usually have to do the hair flip thing for about 5 minutes before I introduce them to my husband and they get the hint. Boys are dense.

I agree w/ Grace -- there are lots of boys who don't even notice it...and if they do notice they'd know enough that it's on the wrong hand (in generally accepted American culture).

Not only that, but the whole 'right hand ring' trend is becoming more commonly understood. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Rock your rock on the finger you want :)
