So apparently there's an anime convention this weekend in Troy--Anime Detroit--in the same hotel Youmacon used to be at before it moved to Dearborn. It looks magnificently terrible. We've been having a vacation this week living in my dad's house while HE'S on vacation. Basically he has furniture, air conditioning and an oven bigger than a shoe box, so we're taking advantage of these comforts for the week while he's away. So hey, Despicable Me was really enjoyable. It surprised a lot of very genuine laughs out of my group, and while it wasn't the greatest story ever written, it was very charming and funny and I would see it again ( Read more... ) -

So we went to see Airbender late sunday night, mostly because the air conditioning was worth the $20, if nothing else.
This movie was really bad, you guys. I don't even mean in a "They're pushing Suki back to Book 2 and pronounced some names differently" kind of way.
