A few days following her literal run-in with Rodney, Jill began to realize that she couldn't avoid Mayko forever. It wasn't even likely she'd be able to avoid her for long enough for the bruise under her eye to heal and so she'd decided to just suck it up and headed for her hut near the Compound, knowing she'd likely run into Mayko there. "It's open," calls Mayko as she pulls a shirt over her head and tugs at the hem so that it at least covers most of her exposed skin. She picks off a piece of lint then looks back over her shoulder, fairly unsurprised to see Jill there. She doesn't have a whole lot of other people who actually come to her hut. "Hey, Jill. You're looking better." Sort of.

"Well, the bleeding has stopped at least," Jill answered dryly, laughing as she touched her nose briefly. "I know the bruise looks pretty bad still, but on the bright side, at least it isn't broken."

And at least Rodney hadn't accidentally knocked out any of her teeth. That wouldn't exactly be easy to fix on the island.

"It does look pretty bad," says Mayko, as non-judgmentally as she can. She knows Rodney hasn't been beating on her, but it still looks like it. "Come on in, quit lurking in my doorway."

With a soft laugh, Jill entered the hut completely and closed the door behind her. "He thinks you hate him. He asked me if you were always so abrasive and I have to say, I think that was the first time I've ever heard someone say something like that about you."
