Crown Tourney

So, the whole week leading up to Crown was a wee bit stressful because of various autocrat-y things. Not that I was an autocrat, but every one of our local household members (except the very newest one- but we're working on him) is an officer, so naturally we all feel at least some of the pain. However, my girl Khalida did a great job, I thought ( Read more... )

I would love to see some pics of your pretty garb! You know I started in costuming and bellydance in the SCA, back in the day!

I'm glad that it was a good day, even if E didn't win. I know the stress and anticipation leading up to the day and adding the autocrat-y things to the mix must have heightened the stress even more. But you've got the best possible outlook and attitude about the day. You were able to enjoy the day and see the most important things - the friends and love that surrounds you all. I've got to agree with Una, enjoy your freedom while you can ;-) Hang in there! *hugs* to you all.

I was actually really surprised, because he was acting the way he did right before he won for you- very calm, very confident. I mean, nobody had to cover me with a blanket because I was in shock, but he hasn't acted like that before a Crown since yours.

But I intend to enjoy the freedom, though I am bitter that I have to remain the A&S officer for a barony that complained that there were no A&S things but doesn't bother to show up for any of the plethora of workshops I set up. ;)

Oh, and this is why Edric censors my reports, because I think I'm the crankiest officer in Dun Or!!

E is an amazing fighter and I am confident he will win again. He is so determined to get what he wants and I have no doubt that's its only a matter of time ( ... )

Khalida did a *wonderful* job, and it was nice to finally meet her in person after chatting over email. It was a *lovely* event.... now we'll just have to remember to ask the elements to tone down the wind. *grin*

I did try talking to them. They wanted a compromise. Wind for no rain or super heat. * Yikes, peerages on here? I better watch my spelling* E does censor Faizeh's reports. I know because I read what she wanted to say and he kicks me or gives me his look becuase I am trying not to giggle. The reason why I dont give her reports is becuase I wont censor them. I am such a trouble maker. Except autocrating. That was a bit of a big event to take on. Luckily I had Cera who really did all of the off site stuff. I just wandered around, hauled stuff, emailed people, met and greeted, and attempted to figure out wheree to put people while maintaining shade. Oh, and deal with the usual personal stuff ( ... )
