Goals for the year:
  1. Run the Half Marathon Grand Prix (last done in 2005) and the NYC Marathon (first ever, after deferring twice now)

I totally agree about No One Belongs Here... , but one of the stories totally hit some spot in my brain and permanently anchored itself there. I'm impressed with experiencing something that can make such an impact and that I can relate to.

I think my former comment made it sound like a positive thing, but "The Man On The Stairs" totally got me. The last line was like WHOA.

I'm glad to see your running goals. Really.
And, I really think you should come out for speed training. Believe me, there are people who are NOT fast (Stacy and Liz) but it does make everyone a better runner.
I plan on doing Manhattan and the Bronx half and hopefully Loren and I will get it together to have a brunch.

Oh and what do you play?

maybe you were able to catch it in person, but this is a link to a reading. there are a few authors who i'd really rather hear than read, and maybe miranda july qualifies as one of those. i haven't read much from her, so i'm not sure if her voice, which i love, would be there in my head. thanks for reminding me about that book!

I couldn't send you a mail because of privacy settings, so I'm thanking you here, I hope you don't mind! I definitely understand if you delete this.

Oh wow!!!!! Thank you so, so, so much!!!!! My dad died recently and his obituary was in the New York Times. I haven't been able to get a copy and I already used up all of my stupid free articles, so this means a lot to me. Thank you again!!!!!!!!!!!!! You just totally made my week, which until now was super depressing. This is freaking awesome!!!!
