Oh yeah. That was awesome! I love how Watson finally broke through to him. The image of a spanked Holmes is one I plan to keep!

I enjoyed this very much. I honestly can see the pair of them using physical discipline, and I thought you set the myriad details up well (Holmes holding the crop and "kicking out"; caning's ineffectiveness; "the material confines of polite society"; etc.). And I loved the fact that Holmes told Watson the truth, and Watson understood the value of it. However, I must admit that the use of Holmes' first name threw me out of the story a bit; I really can't see Watson using it unless he was trying to make a point, and so in this situation--with him trying to get Holmes to relax--it seemed odd to me. JMHO. Overall, though, a very interesting fic. :-)

Thank you. I worked hard to get some detail into this and some set-up rather than going straight into the discipline. It's nice to know its appreciated.

Sorry if the use of Holmes' first name through you out of it. I debated whether or not to use it myself, but for me it just felt appropriate at that point. Watson has broken Holmes right down to his most basic raw emotions and at that point I just see him as Sherlock rather than Holmes. It's a personnel thing that will work for some and not for others.

I'm very glad that you enjoyed the story despite that. ;-)
