What's it say about the fate of poetry in our nation that a piece like that gets showcased at the inauguration?

Here's an inaugural haiku:
Pres'dent Obama,
My poetry does not suck.
Next time, please pick me.

Ok, i think it been pretty well proven now, president cannot pick poets. Not that i dislike Frost, but he didnt even read the right poem, and this one, wow. It made the Obamesiah's speech look good...
