Well, you could make the email's content HTML instead, in which case you can use the same HTML tags in the body of the message as what you used in the web page. (I'd recommend storing the table, markup and all in a variable that you can just print or dump wherever you need) Assuming your browser supports it, of course. The other option is to use fixed-length output fields to make nice columns and lines and whatnot. It's probably more pain than it's worth in this case, but here's the relevant documentation

I kinda cheated my way around it by writing WAAAAAYYY too much code, but it works so I don't care! :( The email was HTML (I set the headers for HTML content anyway) but I just couldn't get it to display correctly the way it was written.

I appreciate the response - sorry for the insane email, I was getting extremely frustrated and was far too crabby & up too late! I don't even know if I'm making sense now! the important thing is that it's basically done, even if it's not done well... so now I guess I just move on to the next project. This advice may be helpful for me there, too - so thanks!
