so since i started school, i've been trying to get more involved with the medical care of patients in the hospital rather than just sitting behind the desk and getting their names. i'm not allowed to TOUCH or help the patients yet. but i have been asking to watch the procedures that the physicians do

my grandfather on my dads side was always a BIG man. I mean like over 300 lbs at one point. He had cancer and it got so bad it spread. When he died, he only weighed like 145 lbs. I mean Im sure he would of weighed less had he not been a big man. It was so sad, he didnt even look like himself. I was glad when he died too, no more suffering. I know its hard for them to eat a lot, so yeah they end up being malnourished pretty much.

I think itll just take you a while to get over all that stuff, you just have to be strong. Hang in there!
