Pet Tip

Anybody have tips on getting a dog to take a pill.  Zoe takes 5 pills a day now.  Luckily three of those are teeny tiny, but the other two are big.  And it's a pain because she's on to us now.  No longer is she excited for a chunk of cheese.  And even if she is excited for our treat, she spits the pill out.  She's gotten good.

Any tips?

I wrap pills in cheese or turkey meat...larger pills I take a tab of peanut butter and Sugar (my boxer), eats it right up.

my mom always did cheese...but maybe you could try some kind of meat. salami?

My mom always used this nasty German liver sausage called Braunswager (sp?). It is kind of like pate' in texture. Maybe something with a meaty smell that you could hide the pills in would be better than cheese?
