Toe update

As the toenail has grown a millimeter or two in the last week since I dropped the bookcase on it, more has been revealed - literally. It seems that when the bookshelf made impact, it cracked the nail right under the cuticle. I'm not sure if the crack spans the entire width of the nail, but the more it grows out, the more it appears to be a full ( Read more... )

Sally, glad that the toe is better. And this may sound strange but I'm glad that it's bleeding ... it means that it's healing, right?

And crocs are the works man! I wear them on flights and won't wear anything else now. They're light, comfortable and it's almost like I don't want to take them off. Mine are dark green, not sure if you noticed.

I think the bleeding does mean that it's healing, yeah. I'm glad it's bleeding because the pressure is like almost gone - it practically feels like a normal toe.

I don't think I noticed your crocs - I wasn't attunted to crocs in April the way I am now.

Your poor toe. I hope the crocs keep it from getting wounded further. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the nail doesn't fall off. Funny the thing you take for granted like toenails.

I feel pretty certain that the nail is going to come off. It feels like a loose tooth feels.

Ouch! That sounds so very painful and unpleasant. Thanks for posting the gross picture. Tee hee.

Crocs are so fantastic. I have the blue ones as does Mrs. Skipit and Mr. Little Skipit has red ones. I even wear them around the house so my feet don't get as tired and I HATE wearing shoes. You'll love them.

Crocs rule!

The toe is much better, 5 days later, but I still might lose the nail, I think.

That's you, Ms. Jilly, Always one step ahead of me... I have been eyeing some crocs for awhile now, looking at getting a pair this weekend! Sorry about your toe, that's terrible... :( AND, I hate wearing trainers on the walk to work, with the suit and all that, but honestly, it makes such a difference, and comfort is what I am almost all about. I never thought I would be THAT person, and yet, here I am... Cheers! Jennifer. (dynagrrl.blogspot.com)

Well, my mother is always one step ahead of me - she had Crocs last summer!

I'm all about comfort too, the older I get. Hee!

Hey, congrats re: the bar this coming weekend - wish we were coming to your party!

I wouldn't wear crocs while working on your house, our house is littered with nails right now and I don't think the crocs would give much of a barrier to a piece of metal. I've been wearing my stylish, yet also durable wooden-soled sandals out there. Hope things are going well, I'll call soon! Love, Bert
