I heard from a girl that is a year younger than me that marched in my marching band in high school that the new principal is screwing them over. Our high school is on a block scheduling system, meaning we had four classes a day, 90 minutes each. For the first term/quarter of the year, we would have one whole block set aside for marching band, ( Read more... )

I had block scheduling. Marching band showed up really early, and band was the first half of the first 90 minute block. The second half was choir.

Our marching band did well and our choir also did very well.

Maybe they should look into that..

that will not stand! if anything, they need even more time. our shows were complicated and we still didn't do as well as we could have. grr!

well, my marching band in high school sucked, Jen. So I guess I don't know what it's like to be a part of something that's very good until now (yay cornhuskers).

Perhaps you should get your mom to get other parents to petition? You know they won't change it just because of one e-mail.

i know almost 20 former members of the band emailed him just yesterday.
