With things back to normal, Jim fell back into his usual schedule. He admittedly wasn't seeking out certain people he had messed with during the week, but beyond that, things were pretty much back to normal With Sam off with Pam for a little while, Jim spent the free time getting a couple of things done before finally finding a table in the ( Read more... )

Veronica, for her part, had been more than happy to stay away from the majority of people, aside from those work and school forced her to see. There'd been that auction the other day, though, which she'd signed up for before she'd known she was going to be in a bad mood, and Council nominations circling back around. He was about to give up the search when he realized who was behind him. Turning his head and glancing up, he bit back a grin.

"Long time no see, Mars," he said. Of everyone he'd seen all switched up, he had to admit seeing her like she was was probably the funniest. "Feeling better, or are you here to invite me to another party?"

Of course, being intent on being nicer didn't mean he wasn't going to get one or two jokes in or have any interest in deleting what was now on his computer.

"If by party you mean your funeral, then yes," Veronica said dryly, turning away to look at the shelf. Just because her mood had lifted didn't mean she was in a good one. Nothing on the bookshelf looked worth her while, though. Just her luck. At least it wasn't giving her more of those books about the Winchester boys.

He stood up straight, grinning faintly. That was the Veronica he knew, alright. He wasn't expecting anything else, really, since everyone else was normal, but it was good to be sure of it. "Wow. See, right there. You don't know how much I missed that witty banter. Not that I didn't enjoy seeing you put on a tea party, don't get me wrong."
