Jim was about as ready as he could be with all the wedding plans. Everything would be simple, but it was the best he could offer her, and she seemed happy enough to make him not feel disappointed he couldn't do more. Frankly, Karen forgot all about the reason she was stopping by Jim's as soon as he opened the door. It was a little like deja vu, seeing him suited up for a wedding again, but it a little exciting, too.

"I really hope you guys aren't planning to elope or something without telling me, Halpert."

"Wow, Filippelli. What can I say, you definitely caught me," he replied with a smirk, opening the door up more for Karen to come in. He had to admit, he was a glad to see her. These rings weren't something he wanted to show Pam until before the wedding. He might actually be able to wait that long if he could at least show someone else he'd know keep it quiet. "In fact, not even Pam knows about it. I'm being that sneaky."

"Oooh, intriguing," Karen said as she stepped inside. She looked Jim up and down, feeling an odd sort of pride as she did what any good friend would do and made sure it looked good. "This couldn't have been that easy to get out of the clothes box. Why're you keeping it such a secret?"

"What's the fun of seeing each other before the wedding dressed up?" he pointed out, working to fix his tie as he spoke. He liked to think it was obvious he liked going down the traditional route. "It looks good though, right? I think it does, but I'm a guy. I hear we're apparently supposed to be bad at dressing ourselves."
