Jim had seen the notice a little earlier. There were times Jim forgot just how fast Samantha was growing. At over two and a half years, she was finally able to be put into preschool if they decided to do so. Having taken a while to get some things done up at the Compound, Pam returned a while later with a bag of clean laundry, smiling automatically at the sight of Jim and Sam on the floor together. "Regressing, Halpert?" she joked with a laugh, crouching to press a kiss to the top of Sam's head. "That is an excellent stick figure, I have to say. You've got real talent."

"It's very deep, actually," he replied, after glancing up toward her direction. Sam was already up and running at her to hug her leg. He bit back a smile. "The symbolism is probably really hard to spot, though. I understand."

"Yeah, I bet," Pam laughed, shaking her head as she glanced from one drawing to the next. "Sam's, though - wow, this is just really excellent. I don't think I've seen anything like it." There were plenty, of course, similar to this one. "So I take it you two have been having fun?"
