That was poignant! I particularly liked this sentence: "I distantly understand his hurt and his anger and his relief and it’s sort of like being fucked by them." It sums up a lot of feelings and characterizations in one fell swoop. Nice!

I'm glad you weren't disappointed! I was hoping to get to some of the underlying feelings, but without sacrificing Jim's 'voice' and bizarre sense of humour. Thanks for reading!

I don't know if I believe that Moriarty's really still alive in canon, but of all the fic writers who have been or will be following up on his story after Reichenbach, you are the one I trust the most. And you didn't disappoint.

I must confess that I don't know if I believe it either, but it makes me feel a little better to write as if he is...Also, if he's dead, my first person voice gets pretty useless, ha-ha! I'm really glad you weren't disappointed!

Wow. This is amazing! This is an incredible fix-it - I totally buy it, TOTALLY.

OF COURSE Jim faked it (and OF COURSE he gloats over faking it better than Sherlock).

Did he think I didn’t know he was going to fake his own death? That I couldn’t tell the roof setup as soon as I got the text? Why a roof? It goes against the common sense of anyone who’s ever watched a horror movie.

Yeah, but HAS Sherlock ever watched a horror movie?

Yep, it's VERY good to know the people who make blanks, and even better to know that you NEED to know that, and that you can't use regular blanks that way!

Oh, but I so feel for those boys left behind and (whether for a long or a short time) think their sweetie really did it!

There’s sticky drying fake blood on both his hands now. We’re like the cover of a queer industrial cd from Norway.

Snerk.

Jim's continuing death jokes are morbidly funny, although Moran sure doesn't think so, and I like the way he shows him - several ways, actually.

His temporary hair colour is washing out in dark streaks ( ... )

"I love that this is hurt/comfort, and the comfort is for the person doing the comforting. Beautiful."

You know, I hadn't even thought of it this way.

"You don't HAVE that many inches, Jim! XD"

Jim says, Yeah? Are you making an insensitive short joke at a time like this???

And I assumed you meant Truffle, of course! Who else? XD

I read this the first time on my phone, and it didn't occur to me then. Then I re-read it so as to comment, and it jumped out at me. I love that you hadn't thought of it that way - it's great when fics surprise their writers.

I'd better not make any more short jokes - I don't want it to get back to Sebastian, considering the mood he's in!

I think, at this point, Sebastian would actually join in on the short jokes. Sometimes, any point won in a battle is a real victory. XD

Thank you! Did you watch the episode, or did I just spoiler the hell out of you? And Jim will be giving out free tips as long as the sun keeps popping up to broil people on beaches.

I hadn't seen it, but I'd read summaries. Old school!
