Hugs, Jim. I survived a jobs massacre at work last month. It's traumatic even when you're not one of the people who lost their income.

I wish I only had until June 2010 before I could retire. I have some hope, though, that my 401(k) will recover from the Bush Maladministration by the time I am retirement age.

In June 2010, I'll be 55 with 30 years at the company and the pension and retirement funds vest. Then, if I have to go, nothing is lost. I am also hoping that when I can get to the 401(K) in January 2015, that the economic wheel will have spun around again...

You've been there almost 30 years, haven't you? I will hold you in the Light, as we say in Quaker meeting. I miss you.

Glad you survived the paring knife this time. May this fortune hold.

I have a bit longer to go before my 30 years are in. (September 2011.)
