TV Update
Gave up on:
NCIS. Will continue with the L.A. team, though, because of Teh Pretty and because I am determined to find out what the "G" stands for. *sigh* Some reason that is. But Team Gibbs has somehow lost its allure and I cannot even say why exactly...
Glades. Dumped all the episodes once I watched them. Can't keep everything. *shrugs* Not missing much.
Glee. Probably will watch the occasional ep, but somehow there's really no discernible storyline anymore. Irks me.
Hawai'i 5-0 (or as I've come to call it now, Hawai'i 0.5) Joining the chorus of oh-so-many others and singing "it started out so well and shiney/ but now it's going down the...whatever...." Yeah.
Vampire Diaries - not even remotely interested in continuing that particular torture. (If they'd continued "The Gates", though..that would have been fun...)
Thrilled about:
Dexter - Season 6 so far is fine. I like Dex dealing with this single dad situation and exploring the more spiritual angle of his, well, existence. Deb being made Lieutenant over Angel...La Guerta being her old manipulative bitchy self... Also, Eddie Olmos as serial killer mastermind...XDXDXDXD Very VERY much looking forward to how this pans out.
The Walking Dead - won't stay dead, but we know that, don't we? They continue...at last. Haven't watched 2.01 yet, but it pleases me just to *know* that there's more. More zombies, that is.
Ringer - I'm. In. Love. Not just with Ioan Gruffudd (we've been quite steady for 13 years, after all) but with the show itself. The twists and turns are awesome and Bridget's fixation on "fixing things" that always brings about more trouble while her not-deceased sister is scheming away in Paris... Congrats to the producers. You've got a real winner there.
Strike Back - Bummed as I am about Monsieur Armitaaaaaage not reprising his role for more than a few minutes, the new team is three kinds of awesome.
First: Philip Winchester.
Second: Philip Winchester.
Third: Philip Winchester. If Nathan Fillion and Sean Bean ever had kids...he'd be it. Seriously.
Oh, and then there's guests like Iain Glen (on his break from filming Game of Thrones, probably...), Liam Cunningham (same kind of break), Orla O'Rourke (I really liked her in "Case Histories", that short-lived series with Jason Isaacs), and basically your usual British actor quota.
Briefly took a look at:
The Secret Circle - Witches, magic, coven...TEENAGERS? In a small coastal town in the Northwest? Even Thomas Dekker failed to sell me this one.
Ambiguous about:
Spooks - my absofuckingtotallutely favourite spy-show is in its final season. And it's all about Harry. Which I don't mind. But couldn't they have come up with something more original than this "blast from the Iron Curtain past"? Once upon a time in Berlin...there was Alice Krige. It's a bad thing if the viewer has already sussed out that her son is not 100% Russian looong before they tell you so. And then there's this whole Harry/Ruth dilemma and how she's got that job-offer from the PM himself.
TV is stressful. Kind of. I probably should switch to plain soap.
