Tonight we're settling for canned sloppy-joe sauce, but I do have to brown a pound of beef to go in it, starting in -- four minutes. OK, off the typing chair.

dooooooooo it.

i made it off the sofa, admittedly to the co-op on the corner, and bought a microwavable chicken korma.

i got food and consumed it.

When I was a child, "sloppy joe" meant a sandwich filled with hamburger in thick tomato sauce. Now the sauce must feature a particular suite of spices, contain a revolting amount of sugar, and be only tinged with tomato.

This sloppy joe wasn't as sweet as most, so I fished the can out of the recycling bin:  Brookdale.

it doesn't sound very appetising. And to be fair the photographs on google don't look that enticing.

I made broccoli mac & cheese and collard greens Sunday and have been eating it all week. Fortunately, I'm not too picky about variety.

i often make a weekend pot of soup/broth/casserole and that features quite heavily in the resultant week's food offerings.

Go you, go! :)

I really should cook something else besides scrambled eggs one day. -.-

Good idea. I even have a recipe for a delicious dish. But what do I do with the ingredients that are left over (the stuff that is fresh and can't be frozen)?

(Most of the stuff needed doesn't come in 'single person' quantities -.- (which is a rant for itself because it happens with so much stuff))

(and now I really want this /o\)

i make big multi-person dishes [broths, soups, casserols, tagines, pies, and freeze or share the extra portions.
