I've gotta say, I approve of the taller windows in the production model. There's been this recent trend towards tiny windows which I would think would impact visibility, and therefore safety.

I hope they pull this off.

I hear ya, just wish some bit of the style of the concept had made it. The long streamlines, the grille, the rearviews - something that doesn't say "malibu-esqu".

Agreed about the style - it is a bummer. But at least it's not an embarrassing looking car - just average looking. I'd still love to buy one if they can make it actually do what it's supposed to.

I'm with you... it's not particularly stylish, but I am happy as hell that they kept it a hatchback. I figured that would be the first thing to go. I don't get why america is so fixated on sedans.

I didn't particularly care for the styling of the show car, so the fact that they changed it doesn't both me at all. This isn't groundbreaking, but its more of the style of a "volume" car (which it isn't planned to be, but in theory should be).
