Do you consider raccoons to be childish, or do they remind you of your childhood?
Hmmm... I would have thought "curiosity" would have been the word that most people would associate with raccoons (and the deer that I've meet have been anything but calm; they always seem to be a nervous species). Owning two cats has taught me that they are only independent when THEY want to be; they can suck up for attention as much as any dog.
I know.. I left a lot out. But it wasn't the point.
I used to have a thing about raccoons as a kid before I was 11. We had them around the trailer on and island a lot. I lost interest when we stopped going there during the summers.
For Deers, this was also at the trailer, we had them wander through our property, they seemed rather at peace. I would stand there watching them as they went and did their thing slowly.
The last few I only realized as I was working on this. I hadn't really thought much about cats or dogs. I also didn't add in when each of the species had an affect in my life.
