Did you ever get the feeling that none of this is real? That maybe it's all a dream, and everyone and everything around you is just a figment of your imagination?

Or maybe, that this world and universe as we know it exists only in a small speck of dust in "the real world"

Funny thing about the latter thought -when I was about five, we went to Conneticut, as a weekend holiday. I distinctly remember having my first thoughts of that sort while we were there, in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn, while it was thundering at night. I was thinking that maybe we were all like dolls, and that someone else was "playing" with us. I worried about what would happen when the doll-player grew too old to play with dolls.

Some days, I still wonder.

yes. well, not necessarily a feeling, but the thought. especially when my routine is getting just a little monotonous & redundant. i actually thought the latter within the last week...it's rather egocentric to think that this is all there is

I totally felt that for a couple of months after I moved to the States. It was very unnerving.
