update every day and submitted every other Wednesday, luckily both are done online. If you don't fill it out every day, you get annoying emails reminding you to fill it out. It's overkill and highly annoying.
Last two jobs - didn't do anything unless I was taking sick or vacation days. And actually, that was a separate form, and not a timesheet.
This job is more complicated - I suppose because we're contractors/consultants. My time is charged to various different projects and clients, so the company needs to know how to bill for me. It's an online form that's filled out daily (with annoying email reminders if you forget). At least the online form is approved online, so I don't have to print out anything.
Before they had this system, we had prefilled forms with our names and employee numbers on them, and we would fax them back to the main office every week. Then, periodically, we'd have to mail the originals. These originals were yellow, and instead of emailing them to us, they would actually mail us the hard copies. I have no idea why. I guess they had to be yellow.
