Finally watched the last of the David Tennant Doctor Who specials, which means when I work up the ambition I can now go back to any posts that
immlass,
hangingfire and
leighleighla, among others may have written on the topic. Meanwile, some thoughts and questions from a mere Nuvian under the cut.
1. Has regeneration previously been treated as a major sad? The only regen I've seen was IX's and, you know, IX did not dilly-dally about stuff.
2. The Google turns up less speculation that Wilf is the Doctor's Dad than I'd have expected, given that End of Time teased the living shit out of that. WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY INTERNET???
3. Donna does so much less than I would have guessed for a two-hour show in which she appears.
4. I did like it, but I think The Next Doctor is my favorite of the specials. But I saw that one two weeks ago, and in two weeks I may like the last three episodes more than it.
5. Having finished the X saga, I'm ready to give Doogie Whoser a try now, and early word on the first episodes is good. But reading the new Who RPG rules has also given me a hankering to re-view the Eccleston episodes.
