I'm steering SPIRIT 04, it should be amazing.

In English the other day, Sheerin brought up how she didn't like the Midwest. I wrote about this topic exactly on Sep 5 in this journal, and if I knew how to link you I would... but you're just gonna have to find it yourself, if you're that interested. Ahh I bitched to JT today about stuff, I feel so ( Read more... )

pity laughs are polite i think. but if the person is a friend then just tell them that what they said was dumb, not funny. :-P

yeah i understand. i just think it's so fake and annoying. i don't think i'll ever stop the pity laughs with strangers, or even acquaintances, but with friends i think it should just stop altogether, ya know?

ah, pity laughs. Unfortunately I do the same thing. Even when something is not funny, I end up laughing. It gives people false confidence, which they usually use to make another shitty joke.

What, may I ask, is Spirit '04?

YEAH!! i agree. and i'm convinced that if all the pity-laughers stop the pity-laughing then the pity-laughees will stop making the pity-laugh-worthy jokes. or they'll just lose total confidence and cease to exist in future generations ( ... )

yep i pity laugh...ill do it if we're in front of a big group of people so the person doesn't feel stupid but if it's just me and him/her, it'll depend on how good a friend he/she is.

ah, the ever so common "pity-lauh". it can be used in all possible situations, and will unfortunately shine on in all its glory until the end of time.

i think we can stop this. on the east coast, at least. i'll start from the top, you work your way up from miami, and we got the whole thing covered. then we'll send troops over to california (of course skipping over the midwest) and we'll have done the deed, stopped the massacre, and killed the pity-laugh once and for all.
