the front flippers and tail look like a turtle, but i've never seen one with a beak or back feet like that.
would also help to know how long it is. the shell is actually part of the body and spine. if this was a baby turtle it would make sense, but i can't image a turtle surviving into adulthood without a shell.
Can you imagine one of those nibbling on your toes at the beach? Or emerging through the seagrass in Lake Washington? Ew!
