Look, kid. If any 13 year old said "respect my authority" to me, that kid would be on the ground before s/he knew what happened. I don't care how drunk and crazy your uncle is. Keep your distance and try to ignore him if he is really bad. I have a crazy, drunken aunt myself, and talking to her in any tone of voice got me nowhere. You either ignore the person or leave the house for good. Ignoring worked for me. The silent treatment drives people nuts.

Much of Pavlov's theory did suck, but perhaps it would work on this kid anyway, you never know. Or maybe a Skinner box would be better. Skinner boxes "trained" rats and mice, maybe they'll work for Jimmy.
