Insomnia!?

So, it's been a long while. Since I last posted, I deployed to Okinawa (some of you knew), developed insomnia, and started having flashbacks. Yes those last two are fairly new and unnerving. I have been seen for them, and so far they think it's partial PTSD. Some of you may wonder where that came from, one word, Haiti. I saw some pretty bad stuff ( Read more... )

It's amazing how that crap can get in your head and then come back when you least expect it. >.> Even things I thought didn't faze me, have come back to haunt me. I'm glad you're seeing someone about it that can help, it's important to be able to move forward.

Yeah, I hope you can get some closure on yours as well. It doesn't help that my fellow corpsmen who weren't there play it down as not being a deployment because it wasn't Afgan or Iraq, pure ignorance.

Yeah, that's rubbish. I saw some pics from there. >.> And dammit, there are far too many troops that were in A-stan and Iraq and sat behind the wire blowing their paychecks in the PX for their whole deployment that didn't spend a single day in the field... just sayin.
