OO, it sounds interesting. I'll keep an eye out for it, though our local rental store's foreign film section never fails to disappoint me, lol. It's not as bad as their anime section though. Every time I go to that section, I slap myself in the forehead and say "Why did I come over here?" Their 4 inuyasha movies and 2 copies of howl's moving castle do NOT make an anime section, in my opinion, lol.
no i haven't! sorry, i am watching with sister T_T maybe you could watch with genevieve? good luck for tax! and tomorrow i have to stay home, hurhur. cos i've gone out on mon and tues.
You put it so much better than I ever could. =D It took me a while to understand the monk part, but yes! Lam Ka Tung! I was so surprised to see him in it! I always think of him as the pushover protagonist in dramas, so it was such a pleasant surprise to see him as the antagonist in Mad Detective. I didn't know he was in Infernal Affairs! Didn't notice him! How could I? >_>
I kept thinking about what it would sound like in Cantonese because I was reading their lips. >DDDD
haha, my sis had told me but i so didn't expect him to be there, i mean...you know, be the guy with andy lau in the lift. how come he always is that kind of person. ;)
nb: "be with andy lau in the lift" is short-hand for What Really Transpired.
Did you see that line that read, on the screen in Chinese subtitles, "Wo ye shi jin cha"?????????? did i get the hanyupinyin right. it was in the toilet when whatsisname bursts in and points the gun at the gordan lam monk antagonist of the movie!! the one who burst in said, "i am a policeman too. ....why don't you trust me?" there was just enough time for a long pause for the audience to realise it was THAT LINE from infernal affairs!!!!! i don't know if it was intended!!!!
