I just watched the season finale of American Idol, and was somewhat disappointed. Even though David Cook has a great voice I was really rooting for David Archuleta the entire season. It's like last year when I wanted Melinda or Blake to win and it ended up being Jordan

I was disappointed tonight, too. I wanted Archie to win. :[ Oh well.

I have never been part of the "scene" much. I don't drink, smoke, nor do I sleep around. I don't go to bars/clubs because of the shallowness I feel the minute I walk in the door. Anyway.. yeah, I don't go. :]

I'm going to take your advice. When I feel stressed out with all the crap going on, I'm just going to stop, breath and relax.

You know, at the risk of sounding creeper, I'm going to relay a little story. When I first added you on LJ through my friend Erik (I believe his screenname is rainbowbrite), you were a sort of inspiration to me. Coming from the small town I do, it was incredible to see an independent gay man, so comfortable with himself and the world around him.

I've been living in the city now for about a year, and it still takes me by surprise, how many overly-sassy gay men there are. It doesn't matter who you are, the plastic, pretty-girl mentality of the popular crowd follows you through life. I'm just glad it's something others notice too, and I'm especially happy you feel like you have moved past the "trendy gays". People should only be as trendy as they want, happiness and self-fulfillment matter the most.

Just thought I'd counter-rant, send you some love, Jimmy. I hope life just gets better and better. :) <3

Everything you wrote is awesome. I have been pleasing myself for several years (boy THAT sounds loaded...oooh, as does that) and have never been happier.

It is 10,000 times easier & more rewarding to be relevant to myself than any clique. People still respect & like me...maybe not the glitterari circuit to which conformation is key...but genuine friends.
