Out of Whack

Life seems a little topsy-turvy at the moment.  My stars are definitely mis-aligned.

I got a call from my friend Jeni on Friday (one of my longest friendships - we grew up together and I am the godparent of her daughter).  It turns out her oldest son Dustyn, who is 10 years old may have a brain tumor.  They are coming to Children's Hospital on ( Read more... )

Wow. All that stress! If talking about it helps you, then I hope knowing that some people are listening will also help (even if I am on the other side of the world from Seattle).

Yes, these are trying times for so many folks. My father lost his house last summer, and I know there are layoffs in other parts of the university where I work. I was in a fun, happy relationship last year, for almost seven months, then my now-ex decided he no longer wanted me last August. It's hard at times to have a good perspective, to see that there are still good things happening in our lives. I'm glad you can see that, with your home, your partner, your doggies and kitty, and your family as they are. I do too feel out of balance at this time. But I'm still here, still alive.
