I have owned a 1 bedroom condo since 1985. I rented it from 1985 to 1992. My wife and I lived there from 1992 to 1996 (when she became pregnant). We somehow were able to keep it and buy another house, thus start renting it again ( Read more... )

Yeah. Ugh! Never Mind if the tennant didn't have any money, the brother should have cleaned it up himself, or paid for a crew to come in and do it. You should not have to clean up someone else's mess. I understand it'd be difficult and probably take forever to get the brother to clean the place up. If I were you, I'd see about hiring a crew to go in and clean the place up. Like you have the time or the energy to take care of that, on top of everything that's going on in your life right now. I feel bad for you that you have to endure this, especially at this time.

Holy crap!

If it helps, you might be able to call a company like Servpro to clean the crap out and clean the place up. Not cheap, but it takes the pressure off of you.
