Rain

I feel like Christopher Robin and Pooh, when they were "completely surrounded by water". The weather has been so fucking wierd, and i have never seen so much rain for so long in Texas, especially in July, which is normally our driest month. It is so strange because we in Tennessee are enduring a record drought. I think we're approaching 18 to 20 inches below normal for the year in precipitation. Lawns that normally would be mowed twice a week this time of year are nothing but burned out patches. I normally get concerned this time of year about the possibility of severe weather, tornado sirens, etc. But now I'd actually welcome a long, severe thunderstorm.

Hell, even GW and Co. have admitted that there *is* global warming happening, they're just denying that we're significantly contributing to it. "It's all part of the natural cycles!"

China's having even worse flooding problems than England, by the way. It's just not making the news as much.

I don't know why copperas is called copperas, but that's what I've always heard ferrous sulphate called commercially. That's where Copperas Cove got its name, for that matter.
