teething

Emma is teething and she's hurting really bad.  The teething tablets are not working and neither is Tylenol or baby Oragel.  Does anyone know of anything else that will work?  I hate seeing my baby girl in pain.  Please help.

Have you tried a teether? You might also dampen a washcloth, put in it in the fridge for a few minutes to chill and give that to her.

With my daughter, fingers worked. Just wash your hands and let her chew on your finger.

she doesn't seem to like any of the teethers we have bought her, thanks for the washcloth idea though, she did enjoy that for a bit.

I'm not sure how heavy she is but, you could try motrin, that worked better for both of my children than tylenol. you can wet a washcloth, roll it up and freeze it for a bit and let her chomp on that, that seems to help sarahanne

thanks for the washcloth idea. another friend recommended it and she enjoyed it for a bit, im assuming it numbed her and she fell asleep shortly after.

My mom used to let me chew on frozen carrots. if you take a carrot and cut it in half and freezing it there are no choking hazards since it doesn't desintigrate and she can't chew bits off either way I used to have fun with it.

I'm not quite sure what it's called but when Scarlett was teething I went to Whole Foods and picked up these little vials of liquid you shoot into the mouth. It's clear and natural. The thing that sucks is that I can't remember what it's called. Whole Foods, however, does have a baby section so it wouldn't be too hard to find. It definitely worked.
