I'm totally leaving for New York tomorrow night at, like, 10. If we crash, my friends have first dibs on the looting of my room. So you know, I'd prefer a more somber, organized looting as opposed to a free-for-all. Something dignified, please. I'd prefer to look upon my home from the spiritual plane and see a place that isn't completely set ablaze

Okay. if I bought conan, I'd keep him and make him do his shows in the backyard. And I'd give my friends free tickets.

one of my favorite things I did while in New York was riding the subway. Ride it all day long and you'll see tons of odd people--during the rush hours, it was just interesting to watch everyone packed into the little metal car bursting the typically American measures of "personal space" bubbles--everyone with blank expressions on their faces, zoned out, yet bumping butts, hips, arms, etc. It was like a weird night club but no one wanted to participate and they all thought they were the last people on earth. Yet, public transportation is like this in general everywhere, I suspect. Except Italy. Nope, in Italy they make a point to grope you and it's on purpose
