Apropos of completely nothing:

I just got back from a week-long trip to Atlanta. One of the things I brought back to Seattle with me was a remote control helicopter my wife gave me a couple Christmases ago. I've been thinking about how there will never be a better time in my life to do all the awesome things I always wanted to do but never had time.

So I got home, opened up the helicopter, started assembling together the charger base and whatnot, and discovered... that the rechargeable lithium-ion battery which powers the helicopter wasn't present in the box.

This makes me very sad. :(
