My gut reaction when reading this is that to believe this requires a belief in a group mind. Not even a hive mind, a collective intelligence, where nobody has their own thought process - we are all just individual processes of a large brain.

In that case, nobody is being creative, as the larger intelligence is the one creating. But that creativity is only relative to us as deluded individuals.

Which would imply there is no creativity in the first place; only perceptions of creativity.

hmm. i was thinking more along the lines of creativity as a natural resource that people mine. similar to coal or something along those lines. if coal exists, does that mean all things that consume power from coal are one and the same?

not sure i follow your logic.
