Gosh was Kevin Davies there too?! I read his bit in the programme book and it all came back to me how omnipresent he was at early Glasgow cons and indeed was probably why we ended up running the first Hitchercon there - which I only vaguely recall even though I was on the concom - as were Ian Sorensen and Christina Lake and the 3 of us ran the fancy dress - gosh! We should be writing this up as fanhistory or the youngsters eh? I told Neil i helped run the first Hitchercon and Im not sure he believed me ( ... )

I think Mark Wing-Davey deliberately thought about Americans when coming up with the Zaphod performance. So Mitch Benn's performance was in spirit, but all his own.
