What makes you happy? What THRILLS you?

This list is long, but a few things come to mind right now: travel, going to shows, sitting down to fancy meal, handwritten cards and notes. I am easily moved by good stories and music - I can get totally captivated by a book, movie, pop tune, aria, or concerto. I am thrilled spending time, in person or even on the phone, with my small circle of closest friends - those folks that no me so well.

And chocolate!!!

I don’t think I really appreciated New Mexico until I moved away. It always seemed small and kinda second-hand. Now, I just feel like I recharge my soul when I get there - especially in the mountains around Santa Fe. I also am very close to my mom, so getting to just be in her home (the house I grew up in) and doing the mundane feels oh so right.

And to see a New Mexico sunset…the colors are amazing.

I guess Facebook is where some of my favorite LJers have disappeared to .. I have a presence there, but don't understand the appeal. I'm just happy to see you here! :)
