It occurred to you this _might_ be an opportunity to explain about birth control, but you decided that you didn't need to derail the convo your kid wanted in order to have that convo right this instant.

You supported a Kid Plan, without getting into Technical Real World Issues with the Kid Plan.

You affirmed when the kid perceived a risk and came to a conclusion about responsible behavior given the risk.

And at the same time, you affirmed that pregnant women still engage in difficult and even dangerous tasks while pregnant without getting all judgy about anything.

You did not hold someone to a Life Plan when they changed their mind about it a few minutes later.

I LOVE all these things about this interaction. I probably love more, but I definitely love these things.
