I think our society in general is too hung up about the covering of various parts :-)

One's more graceful. You can get away with a lot if you do it with grace.

Yeah, but it's still so... I dunno. Sad and unfair.
Not that I haven't already figured out that a lot in life is that way, but still.

*shrug* i don't know. malfunctions are generally bad, as well as more permanent.

Not necessarily. One can easily pull a skirt up.
Of course, malfunctions are not good in that they weren't meant to happen, but I still think there's something not right about a girl "having" (of course, she decides, really, but others might think she needs to be anyway) to be embarrassed for a mistake that essentially does nothing more harmful than the other gal who showed the same thing.

well, it was intentional, at least somewhat, with the other girl. if not intentional, at least it corrects itself automatically while the other one needs to be consciously corrected (providing an immediate opportunity for embarrassment).

i can't believe i'm debating this with you. i think a certain girlfriend of mine might want to kill me if she sees this. :)

Yeah, but the short skirt could be a sign of her... openness in certain respects, or her willingness to follow the herd, while the long skirt that got caught is deciding for oneself or otherwise. Those could be viewed as bad or good on either side, but instead it's the accident that gets focused on. If there's been an accident, is that not "punishment" enough on its own without the need to be embarrassed?
