...a blue-screen error at home to go with my insomnia last night. When does it happen? Only every time I turn on the machine. So, looks like I have to zap my computer back to factory fresh and begin anew with all my downloads. ::Sigh:: Well, that will be my Tuesday evening. start the computer with your windows disk

then run the recovery console

then run chkdsk /R
:)

rebuilding it won't fix the blue screen... it will happen again

I don't have a disk. It's a Dell pre-build jammy so I didn't get a windows disk along with it.

They have a function that resets the system back to how it was on delivery rather than give you your own version of Windows. It's also Windows Media Edition. Don't ask me why. My video card isn't even that great.
