We still have a lot of chores to get done (the ones that have been being neglected while we were doing the other chores), but at least they can be done in our timeframe, on our schedule, when we choose, so it doesn't have that time-focussed pressure.
Right now our driveway has a drift of leaves on it about mid-shin high, and we just cleaned the leaves off last weekend. 'tis the time of year. If we don't keep up on them, it becomes insanely difficult to get the wet driven-over leaves up (last year I neglected it and literally had to use a snow shovel to scrape up the 2 inch thick mush of driven-over leaves).
And bird cages to clean, and house to vacuum (man do puppies ever make messes!) and bills to pay.
But first - breakfast out. Something relaxing. Maybe a cup of coffee and a chat with my sister. That's the part that feels so good - no pressure, no deadlines, no worrying about whether I'll have leaves and twigs in my hair when I'm trying to get ready to go someplace.
