Along comes a Jane Austen Action Figure

I suppose you could have her sit in front of a piano, perhaps do some embroidery and beribbon bonnets?  For some reason, I don't see Regency era females as making terribly good "action" figures.

Indeed. Not to mention that putting the picture of the action figure on a white background make it rather hard to see what the lower part of her looks like! Bad idea, bd marketing.

Someones gotta do GI Joes laundry, and Barbie has been all upity since she got (every single) job.

On a more serious note, there is a pretty decent size market for this kind of stuff in the toy community. The retailer the Jenn and I used to frequent had a whole section of historical action figures. I personally liked to have my Sigmond Freude kicking Pope Innocent III's ass.

Heh, I don't know if Regency era "laundering" is going to be good enough for ol' Joe. He should do his research on that era and what was considered "clean" then - because, y'know, Knowing is half the battle!

And now I want historical action figures. Can I blame it all on you for making it easy for me? ;)

Awww, man! They don't have Robert E Lee or Ulysses S Grant! That would have taken care of one person on my Christmas list if they'd had them!

Both sites have all sorts of military and generic action figures... The second link has a section for mostly WWII stuff (New Hitler in *real* leather overcoat!)

I dont mind being your toy enabler :) Its a fun and addicting hobby. If only I had more space (and money)

Hey, I've got a Crazy Cat-woman action figure (thanks to you)! I think her action would be scooping out the litter box...
