Sounds like a worn but magical place.
Also, "Shadow Man" continues to haunt me to this day.

Shadow Man effed me up very well. It was exactly as I remembered it.

The place is almost irrelevant though I'm not going to deny a certain ground is common for such gatherings. People make a place and there's nothing quite like getting the first 23 years of your life handed back to you. Magical, sure. Disquieting, oh yes. Weird and not entirely in a fuzzy way.
