Nearly 100 words cut. That's not a lot, but there is a reason why I left good chunk of be-verbs intact. I'll have to ask if it's a good reason though.

I read a post from AW that suggested writers shouldn't search and eliminate (destroy) weak verbs and others. But rather, writers should search and reword (or rephrase) the whole sentence.

But I like the term 'search and destroy.'
